Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of increasing the visibility of your website or web pages in search engines "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results.
In general, the earlier (or higher rank on search results pages), and more often a site appears in search results list, the more visitors it will receive from search engine users.
